Pictures were taken on Kodak Gold 200 with an Argoflex EM, developed by Safelight Imaging, Nashville, TN, scanned at home with an Epson Perfection 4990 Photo scanner using Vuescan, and post-processed with Gimp.  Original scans were 5,400 pixels square (2,400 dpi) tiffs and were reduced to 2,700 pixels square jpegs at 85% quality.  I didn't mess with the color balance, but did bump the contrast a little in curves. The shutter decided to stick open on the Argoflex after I finished the roll.  I need to open it up to see what is going on with that Alphax shutter.  I've had another Alphax apart before and it survived the operation, so maybe I can get this one going again.

Image hand held, available light, developed with Caffenol chemistry. This was my next door neighbor's take on the late year Holidays. Image hand held, available light, developed with Caffenol chemistry. Sharp capture with Caffenol of a sharp-looking camera, in my studio.
	"Christmas Tangle" Shot with Argus SLR (early version with unique bayonet lens mount, Argus 1.7 / 58mm lens). Kodak Ultramax 400 color film, rated @ asa 200. 12.15.2022.  1/100, f/12.7, Manger scene at Arizona Mormon Temple, Yellow filter, 50'.  I was looking all over Creation for a "Holiday" image, & stumbled across the Mormon Temple here in mesa, Arizona.  I knew that they had a fairly extensive light show during the evening hours, but this was broad daylight.  Several turned out well, but the background distracted from the subject.  Sigh	Second Place 12.15.2022.  8 sec, f/11, Fire place, 7.5'.   Here in the lowlands of Arizona, we don't get much snow, etc.  I know there will be others in Minnesota that would laugh, but it does get cold here during the winter.  A good fire in the fireplace warms up the room, as well as the heart.
	12.23.2022.  1 sec, f/9, Christmas decorations, Portra close up aux lens +1, Focused at 4', actual distance 21".  I found success with these kind of scenes, & decided to do it again.  I had to put the camera on a tripod, look through the viewing lens with the aux close up lens over it, & compose, focus, etc.  Then put the Portra lens on the taking lens, & crank the camera up precisely the distance between the two camera lenses.  Then wait til development to see if it turned out. I used a 1941 Argoflex Model E, with Ilford FP4+ b/w film.

So here is a quick holiday tour of the homestead ...   The entrance; taken toward sunset so the lights would show Exposure: ~1 sec @ f/16  'B' and using "one thousand and 1"	Inside we find snowmen on the harpsichord. Well they have to go somewhere! (Built it from a kit circa 1981 but have never mastered it. 🙁) Exposure: ~1 sec @ f/11  'B' and using "one thousand and 1"
And no holiday is complete without some of Uncle Dave's bread! This was headed to a family event; 3 loaves of honey semolina (my own recipe), a loaf of fennel orange rye, and a plate of cookies. A recipe made almost every year that I "helped" my mother make so far back I had to stand on a chair to reach the work surface. 😁 Did a lot of holiday baking this year as we did a total kitchen remodel in the spring whoo-hoo! Exposure:  1/10 @ f/4  (The new kitchen has fantastic dimmable LED recessed ceiling lights, two directly over the induction cooktop!)	The camera was my C-3, owned since new at the end of 1957, loaded with a 24 exposure roll of Ilford FP4 Plus. All shooting done with a solid tripod and a cable release.  Film was developed in HC110 1+63 and scanned with a PrimeFilm XE scanner. Exposures were metered with a Gossen Digisix using incident mode. All shots were via available light (for which FP4 was kinda slow, but it was on hand). Hope 2023 is good to all the ACG folks.

Brush 1: This is a truck decorated for the holidays near a local farm stand in Grafton MA. It was taken with an Argus SLR wiith Argus-Sekor 35mm f/2.8 lens with Kodak Gold 400 film. Stone Church: The "Stone Church" is an abandoned church that is now a landmark at the Wachusett reservoir in West Boylston, MA. It is always decorated with a huge wreath for Christmas. The photo was taken with an Argus SLR wiith Argus-Sekor 35mm f/2.8 lens with Kodak Gold 400 film.
