families at Holiday times. Here it is, recreated under our Christmas
Tree.

My
first contest submission is a house in our subdivision, nothing special
about the photo, but I liked the trees in the background and the long
winter shadows. The bright sunlight brought out the colors in the
brick, and the smoke from the back of the house reveals the single
digit temperatures that day. Shot with my 1955 C-3 brick on
drugstore brand 200 speed film, f16 at 1/300sec.
My second
choice submission is of my daughter by the nativity scene in front of
our church. Also taken with my C-3, but I believe overexposed at
f8 and 1/100sec. I like the effect of her hair blowing in the
wind. I am a rank beginner, still learning to take photos! |
