Argosy III Rules for Participation
- Upon receipt of the
camera, each photographer shall e-mail Wesley Furr at argus@megley.com to confirm receipt. This is necessary
so the website may be updated to track the camera's process. In
response to your email, you will receive the name address and
e-mail address of the next photographer.
- As a participant you agree to incur any costs to forward the camera to the next participant.
- Each
photographer may shoot as many rolls of film as he or she likes, but
must try to turn the camera over to the next photographer as soon as
possible. Ideally, each photographer should have the camera for
only one week, excluding complicating real life circumstances.
- Black & white or color photography is acceptable.
- Photographers may submit two photographs taken with the World Argus C4 in jpeg format.
- Submitted images should be sent by email to argus@megley.com
- Image
resolution should be no larger than 900 pixels on the long side.
Your image may be resized for publication on the Argosy website.
- Each photographer is encouraged to submit a self portrait in addition to the two photographs made with the Argosy camera.
- Direct
hand-offs are encourage whenever possible. If meeting with other
participants to hand off the camera, please feel free to submit
additional jpegs of the exchange for inclusion on a special page the
website.
- A brief comment on the photographer's time with the
camera which may include some basic biographical information, the
list of places he or she took the camera, interesting anecdotes of
other peoples' reaction to the camera, etc. These "journal entries"
will be included on their site with their photographs.
- By
participating, you agree to exert good care for the camera while it is
in your care. You agree to notify Wesley Furr if the camera
should become damaged so service may be coordinated.
- As a
participant, you retain the copyright to all original photographic and
written work submitted and you grant permission to the project
coordinators to publish your original work on the Argosy website or in
print for the promotion of the project.
- Upon completion of the
World Argus Argosy II, the World Argus Model A shall be donated to the
Argus Museum in Ann Arbor Michigan.
- These rules may be amended
at any time by Wesley Furr or other authorized coordinators of the
project. Should any dispute arise, Wesley Furr shall have
the final decision in the resolution.
- By signing the consent form each participant agrees to abide by all the rules stated above.
