Annual ACG Gathering Overview
The Twenty-Fourth Annual Gathering
of the Argus Collector's Group is being held in Eden, North Carolina,
May 15th - 18th, 2025. This event which began as a get together for ACG
member from the East Central part of the United States has turned into a
wonderful gathering of Camera collectors from all over the world.
In
years past we have had members from Washington State, Colorado, Ohio,
Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, West Virginia,
Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Canada, and even a
wonderful couple from Australia.
This year promises to be just
as exciting with people from all over bringing displays of cameras,
photos and other Photographica to share with the group. The best thing
that is always shared at these gatherings is the wealth of knowledge of
the attendees.
The event is again sponsored by the Argus
Collector's Group (an internet email group of friends and collectors)
and the Virginia Carolina Classic Camera Enthusiasts (a Martinsville
club of camera collectors and friends).
In
years past the spouses of our members have enjoyed the event just about
as much as the collectors themselves. There are a lot of things to
enjoy but it seems that everyone enjoys the meals together (who does
not like food?)
This event is financed on a shoestring, and we will be asking for donations to help defray the costs.
